Fruity Curd Rice

Ingredients:

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Yogurt - 4 cups
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish

For Seasoning:

  • Oil - 2 tblsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry Red chilly - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Channa dal - 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
  • Hing - a pinch

To Mix in the yogurt:

  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Grated ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed green chillis - 2nos.
  • Salt - as required

Fruits required:

  • Seedless grapes
  • Pineapple
Method:


Cook rice and keep aside to cool.

Heat oil. Add the ingredients required for seasoning. When the dals turn golden, pour the mixture over rice. Mix well.

Combine the yogurt and rice. Just before serving, add the chopped fruits and garnish with coriander leaves.
